My husband helped me this last weekend in the garden, getting the tomatoes staked and mulched, some items moved around, etc. Even cut some of the grass around my pots. If I don't do it myself, the yard guys will get too close to my plants and will break my pots and will chop off any part of my plant that is hanging out of the pot. I just found out about a handheld battery operated cutter I can get (we've been using scissors). It reminds me of a hair trimmer. Looking forward to getting it and trying it.
Time progression of tomato seedlings from when I planted the seeds to when I moved them outside to harden off to when they were ready for sale/planting.
Lots going on in the garden. After a bunch of rain and then lots of sun and heat, things are going crazy in the garden.
Garden is doing pretty good. We had some really hot and sunny weather for a bit, which made some of the plants just take off like crazy. Now we are back to the usual cool and very wet weather that we normally have at this time of year.
I've spent a lot of time over the last few days working in the garden. It's been slow going since I'm limited in what I can do, but between me and my family we've gotten a lot done. Mulch has been put around many of the plants to help keep weeds at bay and to keep the moisture in the pots. I also had to yank up my chives, as they were getting killed by aphids. To help combat that problem, we bought some ladybugs, who had a feast. Also did some organizing in the greenhouse.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day outside today. I spent much of it out with the plants. I brought a lot of them out of the greenhouse so that they could get more sun. I also organized them some, grouping plants by type. It was definitely a nice day to be in the garden. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain, but nice weather is supposed to return on Tuesday.
The plants that are already outside in pots are doing pretty good. The snapdragons are already covered in buds, with several of them already in bloom. The kale, lettuce, bok choi, peas, etc that I planeted are all doing pretty good as well. And I am very pleased with the bare root strawberries that I bought from Gurney's. They've sprouted up quite well thus far.
Seedlings are doing pretty good. Cucumbers have been popping up steadily over the last two days. Lots of green beans on my Contender Beans. I'm not surprised that these are considered early beans. I need to get them transplanted soon and moved out to the greenhouse.
Now that we're getting a lot of sunlight, the plants outside are doing pretty well. I have lots of stuff planted, plus there's a whole lot of seedling trays outside. The plants are just loving the sun.
I can't believe how big the seedlings are. I've got flower buds (and some flowers) and vines going everywhere. These guys really need to get into the ground soon! I've already planted one batch for myself and will likely do another this week once it dries up a little bit.
We've had quite a bit of rain, winds, and even some hail, but my outdoor plants are doing pretty well. Even the strawberries that I planted from those bare root sets I purchased are popping up. Makes me so happy to see plants in the ground. :D
Lots of photos of seedlings as well as my plants growing outside. Been a little sick, so I got behind on posting photos. Some of these are of seedlings that I recently planted in my garden. Others are various stages of the seedlings growing inside.

So many things growing. Just the last few days several things have popped up, including cauliflower, broccoli, and the second batch of peas and beans. The last batch of them has started moving the dirt around, so we should see them in the next day or so.
