In her home state of Texas she tried to grow a garden; however, with the heat and humidity that proved difficult. It wasn't until she moved to Oregon that she realized she truly did have a green thumb.

She first started growing a few plants around her apartment patio several years ago and now has about 40 various sized planters surrounding the patio. She grows so much produce that she not only has enough for her family - including a dog and three guinea pigs - but neighbors as well.

For the last two years she has tried to do as much of the garden from seeds as possible. About late February she starts her seedlings inside. Since purchasing a light stand and grow light she'd had significant success with growing seedlings indoors. Once it is warm enough outside, she transplants the items to the planters outside. The extra seedlings she either sells or gives away to friends and neighbors as a "thank you".

Jenni has been married for nearly 18 years and is the mother of a nearly 13 year-old daughter, Abby. The family has a three year-old yorkie poo named Midnight. She works as a webmaster for various non-profits and community organizations and is working on a Bachelors degree in Business.
